Fringed Brome

Fringed Brome (Bromus ciliatus) is a perennial grass native to Northern and Western US states (such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana, and Colorado) that can thrive in USDA Zones 2–7. Reaching a mature height of 2–4 feet with an upright, slender bunching growth habit, it features flat, soft-hairy green leaf blades and produces open, drooping seed panicles with silky-fringed spikelets. It thrives in moist woods, stream banks, and mountain meadows and is ideal for montane riparian restoration, forest slope stabilization, and wildlife cover.
