San Diego Bentgrass

San Diego Bentgrass (Agrostis pallens) is a perennial grass native to Western US states (such as California and Oregon) that can thrive in USDA Zones 7–10. Reaching a mature height of 1–2 feet with a fine-textured, rhizomatous sod-forming growth habit, it features narrow, pale green to blue-green leaf blades and produces slender seed panicles. It thrives in dry to moist coastal sage scrub, chaparral slopes, and open woodlands in full sun to partial shade and is ideal for California coastal slope stabilization, low-water ground cover, and native meadow restoration.
